Melania Trump made harsh comment about how the Obamas left the White House before Trump moved in the first time round

In an interview with Fox & Friends, Melania Trump, whose husband was sworn in as President of the United States for a second term on January 20, shared her thoughts on returning as First Lady. When asked if there would be any differences in their move to the White House this time compared to their transition following the Obama administration, she was candid in her response.

Melania remarked, “The difference is I know where I will be going. I know the rooms where we will be living. I know the process.”

“The first time was challenging. We didn’t have much information, as it was withheld from us by the previous administration.”

However, her comments didn’t stop there.

In her book, Melania, the Slovenian-born former model claimed that the Obamas denied her family crucial early access to the residence, causing delays in renovations. She further noted that “protocols and politics” disrupted what she had hoped would be a smooth transition.

“Unfortunately, my plans to begin preparing the residence before the inauguration were disrupted by protocols and politics,” she wrote in her bestselling book.

She also expressed disappointment over the lack of access before the move, stating, “Sadly, our team did not receive the access we had requested to visit the White House residence in December.”

At the time, Melania Trump prioritized creating a stable and comfortable environment for her son, Barron. Since he was attending Columbia Grammar & Preparatory School in New York City, she and Barron delayed their move to the White House until the school year had ended.

“While the logistics of relocating can be challenging, my priority was to create a sense of stability and familiarity for Barron during this transition,” she explained.

“I was dedicated to ensuring that he had a smooth and positive experience,” she wrote.

Melania recalled that she began renovations only after they had moved into the White House, as the Obamas had broken what she described as a ‘customary’ tradition.

“Those three weeks would have been crucial for taking measurements, gathering plans, and starting preparations.”

She also shared her thoughts on the state of the residence when Donald Trump took office.

“The existing style was outdated or not to my taste,” she wrote.

One of her top priorities was Barron’s room, as he was the first young boy to live in the White House since John F. Kennedy Jr. However, she noted that the children’s bedrooms had been decorated for girls for the past six decades. As a result, she wanted to create a space that suited her son’s needs.

Meanwhile, former First Lady Michelle Obama did not accompany her husband to Donald Trump’s swearing-in ceremony.
