A woman with a well-known love for drinking walked into a small neighborhood bar one evening.
As soon as she stepped inside, she noticed a sign hanging clearly near the entrance:
“For Men Only.”
Still, she walked straight to the counter, climbed onto a barstool, and smiled at the bartender.
The bartender looked at her, then glanced at the sign, then looked back at her again.
“I’m sorry, ma’am,” he said politely, “but this is a men-only bar.”
She shrugged and said nothing.
The bartender tried again.
“I don’t think you understand. We only serve men in this place.”
The woman looked around the bar, slowly studying the customers sitting at the tables and leaning against the counter.
Then she turned back to the bartender with a calm smile.
“That’s OK,” she said. “I’ll take one of them.”
