Trump’s Chat with Elon Musk at Charlie Kirk’s Memorial Caught on Camera

Donald Trump showed up at Charlie Kirk’s memorial service in Glendale, Arizona’s State Farm Stadium this past Sunday, and unlike the other folks who spoke, he didn’t hold back on the politics. He even admitted straight up that he “hates” his rivals. And get this—right there in the crowd was Elon Musk.

These two have had their ups and downs lately, but they ended up sitting side by side. Now, thanks to a lip-reading pro, we’ve got the scoop on what they actually said to each other, and it looks like they might be patching things up with some kind of mutual promise.

The whole Trump crew, including cabinet members, turned out at the stadium to pay their respects to Charlie Kirk. The 31-year-old conservative firebrand and die-hard Trump fan was gunned down at Utah Valley University not long ago. During the service, Charlie’s wife, Erika, gave this really moving talk where she said she’s forgiving the guy who killed her husband, emphasizing that Charlie never hated his opponents. But when Trump hit the stage, the vibe shifted big time—he mixed in tributes to Kirk with his own political jabs and even spilled some beans on White House plans.

Erika put it beautifully: “The answer to hate isn’t more hate. From what we learn in the gospel, it’s love—always love, even for our enemies and the people who come after us.”

Trump and Musk Cross Paths at the Memorial

When it was Trump’s turn, he started off by saying sorry to Erika and Charlie for what he was about to say.

“He didn’t hate his opponents. He wanted the best for them,” Trump noted about Kirk. “That’s where I disagreed with Charlie. I hate my opponents, and I don’t want the best for them. I’m sorry. I am sorry, Erika.”

He joked a bit too: “Charlie’s angry… he’s angry at me.”

Trump was chilling in the VIP section, and out of nowhere, Elon Musk joins him. The tech mogul had been a key player in getting Trump back into the Oval Office this year, even heading up this DOGE initiative to slash government waste and trim federal jobs. But things soured between them, and Musk stepped away from the scene. They’ve traded barbs publicly since, yet at the memorial, it seemed like they were ready to bury the hatchet.

What the Lip-Reader Spotted in Their Quick Exchange

Cameras caught Trump and Musk having a short chat, and a lip-reading specialist broke it down for the Daily Mail. According to Nicola Hickling, it kicked off with Trump greeting Musk and asking, “How are you doing?”

Musk looked a little caught off guard when Trump mentioned wanting to talk. Then Trump said something like, “Let’s try and work out how to get back on track.”

Musk shook his hand, replied with “I’ve missed you,” and then got up and headed out.
