Karoline Leavitt Holds Briefing, Responds To Shocking Biden Cancer Diagnosis

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt responded following former President Joe Biden’s announcement on Sunday that he had been diagnosed with an aggressive type of prostate cancer.

During a press briefing on Monday morning, Leavitt confirmed to a reporter that Trump and Biden have not spoken but that Trump would be more than open to speaking to Biden and helping in any way that he can.

“Not to my knowledge, I don’t believe they have spoken, but I’m sure the President would be open to doing that. I spoke to him last night about the former president’s cancer diagnosis, and the statement that he put out was the initial reaction he had with me on the phone,” Leavitt said.

Fox News correspondent Peter Doocy then asked, “Is President Trump worried about the quality of care that Presidents get here?”

“Not as far as President Trump is concerned. The White House physician we have here is phenomenal, and the team of physicians that take care of the President, particularly at Walter Reed Medical Center, are great. The President had his physical recently, as you know. He had perfect results. He’s in very good shape. I think those of you who traveled to the Middle East with us last week can attest to the President’s endurance,” Leavitt responded.

Biden and his family “are reviewing treatment options with his physicians.”

“Last week, President Joe Biden was seen for a new finding of a prostate nodule after experiencing increasing urinary symptoms. On Friday, he was diagnosed with prostate cancer, characterized by a Gleason score of 9 (Grade Group 5) with metastasis to the bone. While this represents a more aggressive form of the disease, the cancer appears to be hormone-sensitive which allows for effective management,” Biden announced in a statement.

A popular medical scholar and physician known for mocking Republicans is asking questions about Biden’s cancer diagnosis.

Howie Forman, a professor of radiology and biomedical imaging, public health (health policy), management, and economics at Yale University, delivered a deeply concerning opinion on social media.

“It is inconceivable that this was not being followed before he left the Presidency. Gleason grade 9 would have had an elevated PSA level for some time before this diagnosis. And he must have had a PSA test numerous times before. This is odd. I wish him well and hope he has an opportunity for maximizing his quality of life,” Forman wrote on X.

An X user named Adam Brown responded to Forman, saying, “If they followed the guidelines of the AUA and US Preventative Services Task force, they would have stopped PSA testing at age 70.”

To that, Forman said, “Completely true.”

“But do you believe that 1) he really never had screening these past dozen years and 2) he had a normal psa prior to 70? It’s just so odd to discover this with bone Mets in a man of his stature and access to care,” he added.

The new health diagnosis comes amid the publishing of new books and reports that faulted aides to the former president for hiding his deteriorating mental capacities during his presidency.

President Trump issued a heartfelt statement following former President Joe Biden’s announcement on Sunday that he had been diagnosed with an aggressive type of prostate cancer.

“Melania and I are saddened to hear about Joe Biden’s recent medical diagnosis,” Trump posted on Truth Social. “We extend our warmest and best wishes to Jill and the family, and we wish Joe a fast and successful recovery.”
