A wife was having a very busy day and realized she would get home much later than usual.
Knowing that the house still needed attention, she picked up her phone and sent her husband a message:
“Hi, I will get late tonight. Please cook dinner, then wash all the dirty dishes, and make sure you prepare our bed and put the kids to sleep before I return.”
She sent the message and waited.
One minute passed.
Then two.
No reply.
Not even a simple “OK.”
She looked at her phone and smiled slightly, because she knew her husband very well. He had probably seen the message, understood perfectly what she wanted, and decided that pretending not to notice was the safest option.
So she decided to send another text.
“And I forgot to mention… I have also bought a bottle of BLUE LABEL PREMIUM SCOTCH WHISKY for you.”
This time, the response came almost instantly.
“Really?”
The wife stared at the message, smiled, and replied:
“No… I just wanted to make sure you got my first message.”
