King Charles is heading to the White House in just a few days for a big state visit with President Donald Trump. But while the trip has been on the cards for a while now as part of the US 250th anniversary celebrations it seems there is no room in the schedule for the King to catch up with his estranged son Prince Harry.
Yet according to some insiders there could be one person who is keen to step in and try to bring them together Donald Trump himself.

The King and Queen Camilla will be in the United States from April 27 to 30. Plans are in place for all the classic royal flair including a lovely garden party a ceremonial military review and a grand state dinner at the White House. Trump posted about it on social media saying he and the First Lady are looking forward to spending time with the King whom he greatly respects and calling the whole event terrific.
This will mark the first royal state visit to the US since Queen Elizabeth went there back in 2007 when Barack Obama was president. Trump has always shown a real fondness for the monarchy and its traditions so you can bet this visit will be full of pomp and spectacle.
The last time the Trumps met the royals was when King Charles and Queen Camilla hosted them at Buckingham Palace. That visit drew plenty of attention partly because of the timing around the Epstein files but it went off without any major hiccups.
Of course with Harry and Meghan now living in California and their relationship with the royal family still quite frosty after they stepped away in 2020 there has been speculation about whether the King might make time to see them while in the States. But reports suggest he has no intention of heading out to California during this trip.
That is where the bombshell comes in. Sources are saying that Donald Trump might just want to play the part of peace negotiator between father and son. One person close to the situation told reporters that there is real talk of framing this as a peace moment. Trump apparently loves the idea of being the one who brings everyone together whether it actually works out or not.
Another insider described Trump as the ultimate showman. If there is any chance to turn this diplomatic trip into something people will be talking about for weeks he is going to jump at it. Sometimes just floating the idea is enough to create a buzz and no one knows how to stir things up quite like Trump.
It is all still speculation at this point but the claim has definitely struck a nerve and confirmed some of the deeper worries people have had about the ongoing rift in the royal family. Only time will tell if any behind the scenes efforts actually take place but with Trump involved you never know what might happen.
