King Charles had to sit away from the Royal Family at Easter service for a very sad reason.
Even though King Charles is fighting cancer, he was brave enough to attend the traditional Easter service at St. George’s Chapel this past weekend.
A lot of people have been wondering about the King’s health and well-being, so royal fans will have been glad to see him. Before he and Camilla went into the chapel, Charles also took the time to shake hands with and greet people in the crowd.
It was the King’s first public appearance since he started treatment for cancer two months ago. Even though the type of cancer or its stage has not been officially announced, many people saw Charles’s appearance as a good sign.

King Charles’ health hasn’t been talked about as much as Kate Middleton’s in the past few weeks because of all the talk and rumors about her. The 75-year-old monarch was said to be going back and forth between London and Sandringham to get treatment and rest, but there haven’t been many updates on how his recovery is going.
For this reason, Charles’s first public appearance since his diagnosis was made public caused a lot of talk. This past weekend, he went to St. George’s Chapel for the traditional Easter service with some other Royal Family members, but not as many as usual.
Because of recent events, the event was always going to be looked at closely, but the seating arrangement may have been the thing that people talked about the most.
That is, the fact that Charles was sitting alone in the chapel while the other royals were with them caused a lot of interest online. It goes without saying that this wasn’t a random move or based on an old tradition that doesn’t seem to have any meaning or make sense in modern times. No, there was a good reason, even if it was sad.
It was said that the Royal Family’s Easter service this year was much smaller than usual, and a lot of changes were seen. To begin, Charles and Queen Camilla arrived by car alone. They are usually seen arriving with the rest of the royal family for a walk into the chapel together.
The traditional lunch that the King hosts after the service was also taken off the schedule. So the story goes, the lunch is a private time for the Royal Family to get together. However, things were different this year.
When you add those things to the choice to have Charles sit alone in St. George’s Chapel, you have a lot of things that make people wonder.
News reports say that King Charles was seated away from his family to keep him safe while he continues to get treatment for cancer. Experts said that the Royal Family’s numbers should also be kept low to avoid the risk of infection.
Many royal fans were obviously very happy that Charles showed up at the service. People posted a slideshow of photos from the service to Instagram, and some people wrote comments like “God save the King!” and “In my prayers.”
Some people were worried about the old king or queen after he shook hands with the people who had gathered to see him get to St. George’s Chapel.
One person wrote, “He shouldn’t get sick, so he should watch or be alone with no one else.”
“He should have gone out and shook hands with a lot of strangers,” someone else thought.
“I bet he wasn’t supposed to go on this walkabout and shake hands,” said a third. The doctors will not be happy with him.
We’re glad to see Charles out in public again, though! Let someone know you’re there by leaving a comment.
